Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about ZynoxRX and GLP-1 medications.
General
ZynoxRX is a technology platform operated by Vertex Consultation Group LLC that connects patients with independent licensed physicians for GLP-1 weight-management consultations. ZynoxRX is not a healthcare provider and does not practice medicine.
An independent licensed physician, not ZynoxRX, evaluates your information and makes all prescribing decisions. ZynoxRX is a technology platform that facilitates the connection — we do not practice medicine.
We currently serve patients in most US states. Availability depends on provider licensing. Visit our State Availability page for current coverage. We cannot guarantee a prescription will be issued in any state.
All prescribing providers are US-based, state-licensed, and board-certified. Prescriptions are only issued by a physician licensed in the state where you are located at the time of your consultation.
Yes. Your intake and clinical information are handled on HIPAA-compliant systems. Marketing pages collect only basic contact details; your clinical history lives with the medical provider platform, not our marketing site. Medication ships in discreet, unmarked, temperature-controlled packaging.
Medications
No. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved finished drug products and are not the same as, nor equivalent to, Ozempic®, Wegovy®, Mounjaro®, or Zepbound®. They are prepared by FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facilities. Your prescribing provider will discuss the differences with you during your consultation.
ZynoxRX provides injectable GLP-1 medications only — once-weekly semaglutide or tirzepatide, and once-daily liraglutide. Clinical studies consistently show injectable GLP-1s produce greater average weight loss than oral formats, with steadier absorption. Injections use a very small subcutaneous needle, and your welcome kit includes step-by-step instructions; most patients find them far easier than expected.
Yes. Our partner pharmacies are state-licensed compounding pharmacies regulated by state boards of pharmacy and operating under FDA compounding standards. Note that compounded medications themselves are not FDA-approved finished products — they are prepared per-prescription under a licensed pharmacist.
Pricing
Pricing varies by medication, format, and dosage tier. Please visit our Pricing page or complete the eligibility assessment to see program options. Consultation fees are listed separately from medication costs.
Yes. You may cancel your subscription at any time before the next billing cycle. Initial consultation fees are non-refundable. Compounded medications cannot be returned or refunded once dispensed, per federal pharmacy law. See our Refund Policy for full terms.
You may cancel your order for a full refund any time before a licensed provider completes your prescription review. Once the prescription is written and pharmacy fulfillment has begun, that order becomes non-refundable because compounded medication is made to order. For ongoing plans, you can cancel future months at any time before the next shipment is prepared. See our full Refund Policy page for details.
No. If the reviewing physician determines you are not an appropriate candidate for GLP-1 therapy, you will not be charged for medication and any pre-paid amount is refunded in full, typically within 24–48 hours.
Insurance is not required and we do not bill insurance — our pricing is transparent cash-pay. We accept all major credit and debit cards, and most HSA and FSA cards are accepted for consultations and treatment.
Safety
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and decreased appetite. Serious but rare risks include pancreatitis and, based on animal studies, a potential risk of thyroid C-cell tumors (contraindicated in patients with a personal or family history of MTC or MEN2). Discuss all risks with your provider.
No. GLP-1 medications are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are actively planning to become pregnant. Tell your provider about all medications you take and your family planning intentions during the intake — this is one of the screening questions every physician reviews.
GLP-1 therapy is not appropriate for people with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2), a history of pancreatitis, severe gastrointestinal disease, or a known allergy to the medication. The independent physician reviewing your intake makes the final determination based on your complete health history.
Process
Complete our eligibility assessment → an independent physician reviews your information and conducts a consultation → if medically appropriate, a prescription is sent to PerfectRx or Belmar pharmacy → medication is shipped discreetly to your door. ZynoxRX does not guarantee a prescription will be issued.
Once you complete the online medical intake, an independent licensed clinician reviews your information. Depending on your health profile and your state's telehealth requirements, you may have a quick video visit or receive a prescription decision within 24–48 hours. After a prescription is written, the pharmacy processes your order and you receive tracking information within 2 business days. You keep unlimited access to the patient care team for questions between refills.
Near the end of each supply cycle you'll receive an email to complete a short check-in with your provider covering progress and side effects. If the provider confirms you're eligible to continue, your next shipment is processed automatically. If you need a dose adjustment or want to discuss side effects, you can schedule a telehealth appointment through the patient portal at no extra cost.
Possibly. If you are switching from another weight-loss program, our medical provider will ask about your current medication, dosage, and how long you have been on it. In most cases you can continue at or near your existing dose rather than restarting titration — but the final dosing decision always rests with the prescribing physician.
